Sustainable, Ethical Sleepwear
Our Commitment to Ethical & Sustainable Sleepwear
We aim to approach our work with kindness and consideration in all that we do and our impact on our environment and community is no different. We deeply value social responsibility and strive to follow ethical standards, eco friendly practices and maintain our integrity to do good by all.
Below are ways in which we action this in our work to be the most responsible company we possibly can.
Ethical Sourcing
Our journey toward sustainability begins at the very roots of our creations—the fabrics. We're proud to use OEKO-TEX Standard 100-certified fabric, ensuring that our sleepwear is not only beautiful but also safe for your skin and the environment.
Every thread, button, and accessory undergoes rigorous testing to meet the highest safety standards to ensure they are free from harmful substances.
Naturally Derived Fabrics
The journey toward sustainability starts with our choice of fabrics. We prioritise naturally derived fabrics like bamboo, cotton and viscose which have minimal ecological impact. They are crafted to not only be gentle on your skin but also on the environment helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
By choosing sustainable fabrics, we're taking a step towards a greener future.
Timeless Design, Lasting Quality
Unlike fast fashion, we believe in creating sleepwear that stands the test of time. Our designs are timeless, and our emphasis on quality craftsmanship ensures that each piece is made to last. We believe in the philosophy of "buy less, choose well," encouraging a shift away from disposable fashion and promoting a more sustainable approach to fashion consumption.
Quality Workmanship
Quality is not just a promise; it's a principle we live by. Our sleepwear is a testament to the meticulous workmanship that goes into each stitch. Each piece of sleepwear from Magnolia Lounge is designed to wear well, wash well and last well.
By investing in skilled craftsmanship, we create pieces that transcend trends and become timeless staples in your wardrobe.
Designed for Years to Come
In a world dominated by fleeting trends, we stand firm in our commitment to slow fashion. Our sleepwear is not just a momentary indulgence; it's an investment in comfort and style that pays dividends over the years. We want your Magnolia Lounge pieces to be cherished, not discarded, fostering a more sustainable approach to fashion consumption.
Compostable Shipping Bags
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we've switched to compostable shipping bags for online orders. Made from plant-based materials like corn starch, these bags biodegrade within 180 days, leaving behind no harmful residues, unlike plastic bags which can take up to 200 years to biodegrade and leave behind micro-plastics. By choosing compostable packaging, we're reducing our environmental footprint and moving towards a more sustainable future.
Ethical Manufacturing
We take the creation and manufacturing of our garments seriously, ensuring that the rights and conditions of all involved are respected. Since 2001, we've maintained a close partnership with our manufacturing facility, which remains our sole manufacturer to this day.
Our products are proudly designed in Australia and responsibly manufactured in our WRAP-certified facility in China. Our team conducts regular visits to these facilities, ensuring compliance with our high standards. For over two decades, we've collaborated with our WRAP-certified manufacturer to uphold healthy working hours, safe workplaces, fair wages, and zero tolerance for forced labour or unfair conditions.
