Magnolia Lounge is proud to offer a range of high-quality sleepwear fabrics that are designed to provide ultimate comfort and relaxation. 

Our fabrics are not only gorgeous to look at and wear, they are also free of harmful substances including Azo colourants, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol and more.

The majority of the fabrics we use for our sleepwear are made from natural fibres, which means they are better for the environment and better for you.

All the fabrics that we use for our sleepwear and loungewear have all been carefully considered, from their look to their feel, how they drape on the body and, of course, their longevity.

Here's a closer look at some of the fabrics we use in our sleepwear collection.

Viscose Cotton Sateen

For the past 10 years, viscose cotton sateen has been our signature fabric for our sleepwear. As the name suggests, the fabric is a blend of viscose, cotton and sateen fabric. This way you get the best qualities of all three of these fabrics to create sleepwear that’s soft, breathable, wrinkle-resistant and helps maintain a comfortable body temperature. 

It's woven the same way as traditional satin, which creates a smooth and dense fabric which means it has a silkier feel than standard cotton. Plus, by adding viscose to cotton, it makes it even softer and warmer for winter, which makes it the perfect fabric for winter sleepwear to keep you feeling cosy. We use viscose sateen in our winter collections and its moisture-wicking properties make it the perfect alternative to flannelette. You can read more about our viscose cotton sateen here.

Bamboo Elastane Jersey 

Bamboo elastane jersey is a knit fabric made from bamboo yarn blended with elastane to give it 4-way stretch. It has all the benefits of bamboo and elastane which means it feels soft and silky against the skin, stretchy and comfortable plus it's breathable and moisture-wicking. Bamboo is also a more eco alternative to cotton which requires large amount of water and pesticides. Bamboo on the other hand is sustainable, fast growing, doesn't need fertiliser and it regenerates which means it doesn't have to be replanted (saving on labour).

100% Cotton

Cotton is a natural fabric which is breathable to keep you cool and comfortable even in the warmer months. It also keeps you warm in the cooler months by providing thermal insulation. Cotton is also hypoallergenic so is good for those with skin allergies or sensitive skin. We use 100% cotton in both our winter and summer collections.

Viscose Cambric

If you are looking for summer sleepwear that is cool, lightweight & breathable, then look no further than our viscose cambric fabric. It's also is a more affordable alternative to silk and doesn’t trap heat, which makes it perfect for the hotter months. Our viscose cambric is finely woven and is lighter than our viscose sateen fabric. Because of its lightweight properties, we love using viscose cambric in our summer sleepwear collections to keep you cool even on the hottest nights.

Viscose Elastane

Our blend of viscose and elastane is the perfect balance between being washable and easy to take care of. It has a soft, silky smooth finish which feels lovely and cool against your skin while the stretch element creates the perfect fit, keeping you comfortable all night long. We use viscose elastane in our collections all year round because the moisture-wicking properties make it perfect for summer, while in winter it keeps you warm without overheating. Great if you are someone who gets night sweats or gets too hot during the night.

Cotton Peached Jersey

Our cotton peached jersey is super soft and is made from 100% cotton and it combines the breathability of cotton with a jersey knit to create the perfect amount of stretch. It’s called cotton peached jersey because it’s lightly brushed on the outside (like a peach) to create soft-touch feel. Our cotton peached jersey is used in our winter sleepwear and loungewear collections.

Flannelette

Not all flannelette fabric is equal. Our flannelette fabric is thicker than other brands to not only keep you warmer in winter, it also means your sleepwear will last for the long haul. Our flannelette is made from a soft and breathable 100% brushed cotton to keep you warm and cosy for all-night comfort. We use flannelette fabric in our winter sleepwear collections.

Peached Brushed Fleece

Not your typical fleece fabric, our peached brushed fleece is made from heavyweight 100% cotton. This super soft-touch peached cotton fleece fabric has brushed fleece on the inside to keep you warm and cosy while the outside has a soft suede-like touch – just like a peach. We use this fabric in our loungewear and tracksuit winter collections.

Polyester Fleece

Used in our dressing gowns and some of our lounge sets in our winter collections, this super soft-touch polyester luxe fleece fabric is incredible plush to maintain warmth and cosiness even during the coldest months. Our fleece fabric is also heavier and thicker than others on the market which makes it much warmer than other brands.
